Hasemania nana is a small South American characin known in the aquarium hobby as the Silvertip Tetra, admired for its metallic body sheen and bright silver-white tips on the fins. As an active shoaling species, it brings lively movement to planted aquariums and can show engaging social displays among males, especially when kept in a suitable group with enough space. In captivity, maintaining stable slightly acidic to neutral water, offering finely sized balanced foods, and providing both open swimming areas and planted shelter are important points for preserving its fin-tip brightness, natural activity, and long-term health.
