As its name “parva” (meaning small) suggests, it is characterized by its diminutive form, and when planted densely in the foreground, it can create a beautiful green carpet. However, its growth is extremely slow, and it requires more light and CO2 than other Cryptocorynes, making it a species for intermediate to advanced hobbyists who can provide the right conditions and have patience.
